I started sailing at Columbia Yacht Club at age 7 in Optimists. By age 9 I was sailing on our beginner race team in Sunfish. At 10 my family move to Lake Forest where I sailed for 2 years before returning to Columbia for the rest of my junior sailing career. At the age of 16 I started coaching adults in the J22 Learn-to-Sail program here at Columbia. Since then I have coached every class and team that the program has to offer and took over as the Sailing Master in 2008. Following in my predecessor footsteps my goal is to keep the program moving forward, creating new opportunities for our sailors both on and off the water.
