This regatta is the Midwest elimination event for the 2009 ISSA High School Singlehanded Championship.  Qualifiers from the MISSA regatta will compete at the ISSA HIGH SCHOOL SINGLEHANDED CHAMPIONSHIP for the CRESSY TROPHY which will be held on Corpus Christi Bay from October 30 thru November 1, 2009.  The Nationals will be hosted by Texas A&M Corpus Christi with supporting sponsorship provided by Corpus Christi Yacht Club.
